Logan Carr’s Bio

Logan Carr perches atop the world of professional photography. Internationally celebrated for his photographic endeavors, Carr utilizes creative approach, athletic ability and knowledge of ocean dynamics to produce harmonic images that evoke a natural resonance within the audience. Fueled by his background as a competitive swimmer, Carr’s prowess for capturing iconic water-scapes began as hobby which would one day manifest itself into a gallery of his most hallmark images.

Born in St. Charles, Missouri to a hard working middle class family, Carr’s family soon relocated to the small historic city of St. Augustine, Florida. Growing up fishing and surfing the local beaches, he was inspired at a young age by the sheer power and variety of oceanic conditions. At age 11, the gift of a small inexpensive camera from his aunt would eventually shape young Logan”s future course. After experimenting with water photography at the age of 15, Carr managed to purchase a waterproof film camera from saving money working in a local restaurant, sparking an interest in traveling and photographing exotic locations.

Completely self taught, Carr’s passion led to motivation when in 1998 he made the decision to move to the garden island of Kauai. Striving for excellence along the palm studded shores of Hawaii, he soon ventured south to the islands of French Polynesia and was instantly captivated by its beauty. By possessing the gift of aquatic athleticism and an innate knowledge of ocean dynamics, Carr has had the opportunity of working with a host of mainstream and international television stations, numerous clothing companies, countless domestic and international magazines and keystone production companies.

Presently when he’s not traveling the globe you might find him at Kandui Villas surf resort in the Mentawais islands of Indonesia, where he finds himself at home in touch with the serenity of nature and the ocean. Carr has now shifted gears to bring you limited editions of his most treasured images to your home or office.Constantly pushing the envelope, Logan Carr is “ecstatic!” with the thought of new images to come and looks forward to further raising the bar of excellence.
